Roots Community Cafe serves coffee, cake, breakfasts and light snacks in a relaxed, welcoming setting. It’s a friendly place to stop, with a strong sense of community at its heart and a focus on making everyone feel at ease.
Part of Wymondham Baptist Church, Roots has welcomed the local community since opening in 2017. It has grown into a busy and valued space, offering not just food and drink, but conversation, care and support.
The cafe welcomes people of all ages, from parents with young children to older members of the community. It also supports local initiatives, including the Foodbank and advice services.
Thrive@Roots provides local secondary school students with a safe place to relax, complete homework and spend time with volunteers. A “Pay It Forward” board allows visitors to support others by covering the cost of drinks or snacks for those who need them.
